Balance seems to be an illusive goal of contemporary life. How does one counteract the forces that pressure us, pull us to extremes?
Alexander Moyle is an eco-sculptor whose public works in bronze, steel and clay are permanently integrated into numerous sites in Canada and the US. His mobiles explore the delicate balance of elements in a state of momentary equilibrium. How is balance achieved in a complex environment of constant change? He has discovered that minute adjustments can have profound results in sustaining balance in this art form. His work is a visual metaphor for the illusive balance we long to maintain in our daily lives.
