Shreds of Life Fragmented

Arpillera Art Exhibit commemorating 100 years of Salvador Allende
June 26 - July 21, 2008
Arpilleras are textile art that reflectday to day life. And as life, aprilleras are constructed
with the common day to day materials at hand. Arpilleras express, denounce, share,
comfort and condemn. In Shreds of Live Fragmented, arpilleras provide a glimpse into
the thoughts and feelings of twelve women, from different nationalities and ages, who
have come together to invite you to commemorate the 100 years of Salvador Allende.
